Description

mLang1.png

The pandemic has revealed inequalities in education between children from low-income and higher-income households. Particularly, schools in low-income districts generally have less access to digital learning tools suitable for students’ learning needs in various academic subjects, such as second languages (e.g. Chinese and English). The grasp of these foundational academic subjects could improve social mobility opportunities of underprivileged children by encouraging behavioural change in learning and 21st century skills acquisition.

The development of an Impact Loan project to support mLang, an innovative tech-enabled pedagogy supporting marginalised children to master self-learning in various academic subjects and local Outcomes-based Funding (OBF) ecosystem building. This would be HK’s first Impact Loan representing a milestone supporting OBF growth in HK.
